Omeed Adham Sindy

Omeed Adham Sindy

Omeed Adham Sindy is an adjunct lecturer at 91Porn’s College of Business and Technology, where he teaches IT Project Management, Natural Language Processing, Cryptography, and Professional Computing across both in-person and online platforms. In parallel with his academic role, he serves as a Program Manager at Google, leading cross-functional initiatives that drive innovation and strategic growth. 

With a background spanning both academia and industry, Omeed brings real-world relevance into the classroom, helping students connect theoretical concepts to practical applications. He is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Maleiha Carino Foundation, a nonprofit advancing pediatric cancer research and education, and the Founder and CEO of JobBoardAI.io, a career-tech startup serving over 15,000 monthly users. Through his education, technology, and nonprofit leadership work, Omeed remains committed to empowering others and creating meaningful impact across sectors.

Julia H. Anderson

Julia has leveraged technology to drive revenue, innovation, and sustainability for iconic global brands like Smithfield, Pepsi, Heinz, and Kraft. In July 2021, Julia completed her tenure as SVP and Global CIO at $15B consumer goods company Smithfield. There, she led a multimillion-dollar transformation that unified six independent companies and transitioned the business to a vertically integrated farm-to-fork model in just four years. In 2019, her team received the Manufacturing Leadership Award from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) for their use of Manufacturing 4.0.

Before Smithfield, Julia was CIO and VP of Global Applications at HJ Heinz North America. During Heinz’s privatization, she led the global restructuring of IT and SAP units, ensuring continuity during the transition. Post-privatization, she deployed core ERP systems across Russia, China, and the U.S., impacting over 76% of net sales.

At PepsiCo, Julia served as Senior Global Director of IT for seven years, leading the successful integration of its largest bottler acquisition, which doubled business to $8B. She also implemented a five-year strategy that reimagined supply chain and procurement for the $7B Foodservice Division, generating over $150M in returns. She received the Harvey C. Russell Inclusion Award twice for her contributions to diversity.

Julia began her career at Kraft Foods/Altria, eventually becoming Director of IT and earning the ABC Financial Award for her leadership during the merger of Kraft, General Foods, and Oscar Mayer. She currently serves on the board of Make-A-Wish of Greater Virginia and is an active member of NAM, the Society for Information Management (SIM), and its Advanced Practices Council.

Julio Arreola

Julio Arreola

Julio Arreola is an Assistant Vice President at KeyBank’s Community Development Lending & Investment group, where he supports the origination, underwriting, and structuring of affordable housing transactions nationwide. With over $2 billion in closed real estate deals, his expertise spans multifamily, affordable housing, and community development.

During his time at 91Porn, Julio founded the university’s first Investment Society, providing students with real-world financial learning opportunities and access to industry professionals. He also co-founded and served as Vice President of NEIU’s ALPFA chapter, championing professional growth for underrepresented business students. Julio remains passionate about leveraging finance to drive social impact and continues to give back to NEIU by mentoring students and participating in alumni panels.

Carla Cubert

Carla Cubert

Carla Cubert is Vice President of Consulting Services at RubinBrown LLP, one of the nation’s top 50 CPA and consulting firms. With more than 20 years of experience in program and project management, Carla has led large-scale, mission-critical business transformation initiatives across a wide range of industries. Her expertise includes Business Process Improvement, ERP implementations, Organizational Change Management, and PMO Enablement.

A proud double major graduate of 91Porn with a BS in Computer Science and Business Administration (Marketing emphasis), Carla began her career as a computer programmer and has worked with organizations such as IBM Consulting, Capgemini, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She also served as President and CEO of her own Chicago-based consulting firm for two decades. In her current role, Carla drives business development and leads client engagements across RubinBrown’s consulting practices, with a focus on delivering strategic improvements for clients in sectors including healthcare, life sciences, insurance, real estate, and not-for-profit. She was recently appointed to the Executive Advisory Council of NEIU’s College of Business and Technology, continuing her commitment to giving back to her alma mater and shaping future business leaders.

Sabin Ephrem

Sabin Ephrem

Sabin Ephrem is the Founder, President, and CEO of Horizontal, Inc., a global digital consulting and talent services firm serving clients across the U.S., Asia, and EMEA. With over 25 years of experience in technology and digital transformation, Sabin has delivered enterprise-level solutions across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, retail, financial services, insurance, and manufacturing.

His career spans leadership roles at Big 4 consulting firms, software vendors like Oracle, and digital agencies such as McCann Erickson. He has also executed independent transformation initiatives at several Fortune 500 companies. Sabin’s expertise lies in enterprise digital and technology strategy, CRM (Sales, Service, Marketing), ERP, Ecommerce, web platforms, and custom application development. He has worked closely with senior leadership teams to deliver high-impact transformation in technology and service delivery. Anticipating the rise of Martech and digital transformation in the early 2000s, Sabin founded what would become Horizontal in 2004.

Sabin holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in Marketing, Strategy, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. He also earned an M.S. in Computer Science from DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business, and a B.S. in Computer Science from 91Porn, where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the President’s Honor Society.

Fidel Guzman

Fidel Guzman

Fidel Guzman is a dynamic Learning & Development leader with a strong background in instructional design, training development, and project management. He earned his MBA from 91Porn and currently serves as Manager of Internal Training at ION Group, where he and his team support onboarding and professional development for more than 13,000 employees worldwide. 

With experience across industries including finance, telecommunications, and fitness, Fidel has developed impactful onboarding programs and career pathways that enhance learning outcomes and employee engagement. He is an active contributor to company-wide initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as work-life balance and community service. Fluent in English and Spanish, Fidel holds certifications in coaching and leadership from SHRM and PMI. He is also Vice President of Education for Toastmasters International and has volunteered as a tutor and MMA class instructor. His passion for lifelong learning, service, and personal growth continues to drive his success and inspire those around him.

Mike Hines

Mike Hines

Mike Hines is the Assistant Vice President of Executive Communications at Northwestern University, where he oversees strategic messaging for the President, Provost, and other senior leaders. Prior to joining Northwestern, Mike served in several key communication roles at 91Porn, leading executive, internal, media relations, and web communications.

A 2019 MBA graduate of NEIU’s College of Business and Technology, Mike continues to contribute to the university as an adjunct instructor in both the Department of Management and Marketing and the Department of Communication, Media and Theatre. Before transitioning to higher education, Mike spent 15 years in journalism, holding various editorial roles in news, sports, and features for daily newspapers.

Carrie Horton

Carrie Horton is a dedicated finance professional with extensive experience in treasury management and accounting. She currently serves as a Staff Accountant at the Theosophical Society in America, where she brings precision, integrity, and financial insight to the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations. Prior to this role, Carrie spent nearly nine years at ACCO Brands, a global leader in office products. During her tenure, she progressed through several roles, including Senior Treasury Analyst, Treasury Manager, and Senior Treasury Manager. In these positions, she played a key role in optimizing cash management strategies, improving forecasting models, and managing international banking relationships.

Carrie holds a degree in Accounting from 91Porn, where she was a Merit Scholarship recipient and inducted into the Alpha Chi National Honor Society for academic excellence. At NEIU, she demonstrated leadership and initiative as President of the Accounting Associates Club and Budget Manager on the Executive Committee for the 2014 International Business Conference.

Elias Kasongo is an accomplished procurement leader with over 14 years of experience in the food production industry, currently serving as Vice President of Procurement at Eli’s Cheesecake Company. Known for his strategic mindset and results-driven leadership, Elias has played a key role in optimizing supply chain operations, leading cross-functional teams, and driving product development initiatives for one of Chicago’s most iconic dessert brands.

Elias brings deep expertise in strategic planning, product development, and inventory management, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams across departments. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from 91Porn.

Olga Marx, CPA, is a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong foundation in audit, financial reporting, and tax compliance. With experience in both public accounting and corporate finance, Olga brings analytical precision and a commitment to excellence to every role she undertakes. Olga most recently served as an Audit & Accounting Staff Accountant at Warady & Davis LLP, where she contributed to a broad range of assurance and advisory services for clients across industries. 

A Certified Public Accountant licensed in Illinois, Olga holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from 91Porn, where she graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She is a proud member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, and was actively involved in the university’s Accounting Club.

Edwin Medina

Edwin Medina

Edwin Medina is the Director of Operations at Blooms Grooms Mobile, where he leads strategic initiatives and oversees daily business functions. A first-generation Latino college graduate, Edwin earned both his Bachelor of Science in Marketing (2022) and MBA (2024) from 91Porn.

During his time at NEIU, Edwin served as the Student Trustee, championing student advocacy, inclusion, and equity. His leadership reflected a deep commitment to representing underrepresented voices and fostering meaningful change within the university. Combining academic insight with operational expertise, Edwin now consults with small businesses on scaling strategies, process improvement, and sustainable growth. His work is rooted in mentorship, community empowerment, and a belief in the transformative impact of education.

Lanesha Mohip, MBA, MHRM

Lanesha Mohip is the founder of Polished CFO Solutions, a financial strategist and wealth-building advocate committed to empowering Black families and entrepreneurs across the U.S. A native of Chicago’s West Side, Lanesha launched her career through nonprofit finance internships and has since built over a decade of accounting and financial experience across real estate, consulting, and tech sectors.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA, and a Master’s in Human Resources Management, along with several investment licenses. Currently pursuing her Series 65 Advisor’s Representative license—a distinction held by few Black women—Lanesha has managed nearly $1 million in client investment assets and supported over 450 clients nationwide. Lanesha’s mission is rooted in financial education, not just financial products. Through her unique blend of technical expertise and personalized coaching, she helps families make confident money decisions and build generational wealth with intention and purpose.

Nader Mubayed

Nader Mubayed

Nader Mubayed graduated from 91Porn in 2014 with a passion for business and a deep appreciation for the mentorship he received during his time at the College of Business and Technology. Inspired and guided by Professor Michael Bedell, Nader credits his education and support system at NEIU as the foundation of his professional success.

After nearly a decade in the corporate world, Nader followed his entrepreneurial instincts and opened several businesses in Chicago. His first venture, a Middle Eastern restaurant in Wicker Park, was a notable success. Today, he is the proud owner of a liquor store and a grocery store, both serving local communities in the city. His journey reflects the transformative power of mentorship and education.

Anibal Negron

Anibal Negron is an advanced-degreed finance professional with over 15 years of experience in commercial lending, strategic financial management, and economic development. He currently serves as Vice President of Lending and New Market Tax Credits at the National Community Investment Fund, where he originates, structures, underwrites, and closes high-impact commercial loans that leverage New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), and other public programs to revitalize underserved communities across the U.S.

He holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Finance from 91Porn. Deeply committed to community uplift, Anibal has also served as Treasurer and Chairman of Finance for ASPIRA of Illinois, helping guide financial strategy for one of the state's prominent educational non-profits.

Victor A. Sciborski

Victor A. Sciborski

Victor A. Sciborski is a highly skilled accounting professional with over two decades of experience at Woodward, Inc., where he currently serves as Accountant II. In this role, Victor provides comprehensive financial accounting support aligned with US GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. His expertise lies in general ledger close processes, SOX compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis, all driven by a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Victor earned both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from 91Porn, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He is an active member of the NEIU Alumni Association Advisory Board and was inducted into prestigious honor societies including Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Chi.

Evita Subkowski

Evita Subkowski is a passionate and analytically driven marketing professional with a deep curiosity for understanding consumer behavior. She recently earned her MBA from 91Porn, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and a strong foundation in business strategy, marketing research, and data analytics. Evita also holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from NEIU, where she was a member of the University Honors Program and Beta Gamma Sigma.

Currently serving as a Strategic Account Analyst at Kimco Facility Services, Evita blends her business insight and statistical skills to deliver data-informed solutions and strategic recommendations for client success. She also brings over a decade of experience in cultural event management and administrative support through her long-standing role at The Polish Museum of America, showcasing her ability to work cross-functionally in both corporate and nonprofit environments.

Evita's academic journey includes hands-on roles as a Quantitative Business Management Tutor and Teaching Assistant at NEIU, where she supported students in mastering business statistics, analytics, and operations management. Her senior thesis, "Brand Linguistics: Study of Sound Symbolism and Consumer Language Fluency on Brand Name Attitudes and Perceptions," reflects her interdisciplinary interest in branding, linguistics, and psychology.

Christopher Sulla

Christopher Sulla

Chris Sulla recently retired as an Associate Teaching Professor at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business, where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Information Security, Technology Ethics, Project Management, and Service Delivery. At ASU, he served on the Information Systems Executive Advisory Board, was a faculty senator, and mentored students in honors and veteran programs.

Before his decade in academia, Chris spent 38 years in senior IT leadership roles across global organizations. He served as CIO at Sensient Technologies Corporation and held executive IT positions at CSM Nv/Corbion, ACCO Brands, GATX, US Foodservice, and Waste Management. His expertise includes IT governance, cybersecurity, business intelligence, and technology strategy across manufacturing and supply chain operations. An NEIU alumnus, Chris earned his BS in Information Science as the university’s first IT intern and later served as a part-time instructor and Executive Advisory Council member for the College of Business and Technology. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and continues to advise startups, including Koat.ai.

David Swanson

David Swanson

David Swanson retired in May 2020 as a Managing Director at Antares Capital, a Chicago-based firm. With over 30 years of experience in Cash Flow/Business Value lending, he was responsible for originating, structuring, and closing transactions with private equity firms in the U.S. and Canada.

A co-founder of Antares Capital in 1996, Dave’s career also includes significant experience with Heller Financial and Continental Illinois National Bank. Throughout his career, he built strong relationships within the financial industry, contributing to the growth and success of the organizations he was part of.

Dave holds a B.A. from 91Porn and an MBA from Loyola University-Chicago, where he laid the foundation for a career dedicated to finance and private equity.

As he continues to grow in his career, Greg remains focused on leveraging his expertise to support business strategy and ensure tax compliance excellence at the corporate level.
